Urasawa's Pluto

Such a great series and to think I ignored Manga for so many years. Shame on me. Definitely check it out if you've never read it before, one of my all time favourites.

lines by David Cutler for his Spitballin' entry this week.

Topic was Atom/Astro Boy, so I added some colours to jazz up his linework.

Messing around with textures and brushes while watching NHL playoffs last night. One of the best first rounds in recent years!

Colours by yours truly.

A Magnetic Gladiator

I had my friend Dean send me a blog link recently and it's filled with amazing sketches. Head on over to check out Kris Anka and enjoy the visuals.
Check out his DA page as well here.

Decided to colour up a few of his sketches, messing around with a bloom type animated look. Hit and miss.

Amazing lines by Kris Anka with quick colours by me.

Sinister 9

another print attempt with the blossoming flower, David Cutler. He enjoys a peep show so click his name for eye candy.

Might retouch a few things on this one to really spice it up, but fairly happy with the result. Balancing everything with solid depth and values is a tough process sometimes.

In the meantime here's a few process shots since they're fun to see!

Kick Out the Jams
